Program Description

Duncan Hockey's Beginner Hockey Program offers exciting 10-week spring sessions designed for newcomers or those with limited experience in hockey. The program focuses on developing foundational skills such as skating, puck handling, and basic game strategies, all within a fun and supportive environment. Participants will benefit from personalized attention and guidance from experienced coaches, ensuring they progress at their own pace while building confidence and a passion for the game. With engaging sessions that blend skill-building activities and enjoyable drills, this program promises a rewarding introduction to the world of hockey. What to Expect: Skill Development: Learn the foundational skills of hockey including skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting. Sessions will focus on technique and proper form. Fun Drills: Each class will feature engaging drills designed to develop key skills while having fun on the ice. Drills will be progressively more challenging as players develop their abilities. Positive Environment: Our experienced coaches will create a supportive atmosphere where players feel encouraged and confident to try new skills and learn at their own pace. Outstanding Coaching: The program will feature 1 head coach for every 10 players, with extra junior coaches to ensure plenty of 1-on-1 attention and development. Who Should Attend: This program is designed for youth beginners or those with limited hockey experience: ages 3-9. No previous hockey experience is required, but players should have some experience skating. Equipment Needed: Recommended: Full hockey gear / Required: Helmet, skates, shin pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick, and water bottle.

At Duncan Hockey, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly. If you need to cancel/reschedule your participation in our Drop-in Program, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance. Cancellations made within this timeframe will be eligible for a full credit towards a future session. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 72 hours may not be eligible for a refund.
